KRA Issues Directive to Employers Ahead of Monday Tax Deadline

The tax authority has reminded employers of their obligations regarding employee tax deductions.

According to Kenyans.co.ke, the Kenya Revenue Authority has issued a directive to employers ahead of a Monday tax deadline.

Under the Income Tax Act, employers are required to deduct Pay As You Earn (PAYE) from employees' salaries, bonuses, allowances, overtime and leave pay before remitting the amount to KRA, according to the publication.
