According to KBC, Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja has assured residents of Moyale and Marsabit County of enhanced security measures following escalating violence in neighbouring Moyale, Ethiopia.
The violence in Ethiopia has forced thousands of people to flee across the border into Kenya, according to the report.
Kanja made the assurance during a security assessment visit to Moyale, stating that the government had deployed security teams to the area, KBC reports.
