According to The Standard, Kenya Railways launched an SGR vehicle freight service on October 31.

The Standard reports that this move appears to contradict a previous reversal by President Ruto of a 2019 directive.

The 2019 directive had required cargo importers to transport goods via the SGR, according to the publication.
